Today, the harbour has been improved and extended. The most prominent feature is the

addition of a new dock, increasing the harbour’s capacity significantly. Another difference is that

the marina and fishing boats have swapped positions, with new showers and toilets added near the

marina. Moreover, the area near the lifeboat has been enhanced with cafés and shops. Notably, the

disused castle has been replaced by a hotel with its own private beach.

Overall, the harbour has undergone several significant changes, including new amenities

and the replacement of the disused castle with a hotel, which indicate a shift towards making the

harbour more accommodating for tourists, enhancing its facilities, and providing more commercial

opportunities. The transformation from a functional harbour to a tourist-friendly destination is
